Rubs Super Simple Brisket Rub

  • 1/2 cup black pepper
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1/2 cup paprika
  • 1/2 cup onion powder
Combine in bowl and mix well.
Works well to make a wet rub, by adding just enough beer to make a paste.


We will be trying to grill a brisket using charcoal and wood this summer. This is one cut of meat that we have not yet tried to BBQ. We know that this will be a low and slow process! I have looked at a lot of brisket rubs but I like the simplicity of yours. I also like your idea of making a wet rub using beer. It seems I have found the rub to use! Thanks jason!
