Brown Meat In Fat

When you are browning meat in fat on the grill, put only a few pieces at a time in the skillet so it gets deep brown in color. This will improve the flavor of your meat. If you crowd the meat in the skillet on the grill, the meat will just basically steam and won't brown to perfection. The taste of your meat will be delicious! Enjoy!

I never really thought of it this way. Does the number of pieces in the skillet affect the taste as well or just the color of the meat?

if you put to much meat in it will cool the skillet and steam the meat instead of browning

For a second when I read the title of this thread I swore it said "Brown Meat Is Fat"... I was like NOOOO that's why it's so good!

And @Mabel I don't think the number of pieces affect the taste but the color definitely does.

Don't really understand this theory, I get my color from the heat, the flavor from the meat, smoke, marinade or seasons. If I wan to cook in fat I'd use a skillet; not a grill or even open fire.
