Sauce Blueberry Balsamic Barbecue Sauce

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup apple juice
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cardamom
  • 1 pinch salt
In saucepan combine all ingredients.
Bring mixture to a boil; then reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes or until sauce starts to thicken, stirring occasionally.
Remove pan from heat and cool
Transfer sauce to a blender and process until smooth. You can refrigerate up to 5 day for a better blend of flavor.
