My dad put my new gas grill together and he told me that I had to use a lighter to light it. I thought he was crazy. I don't know of any new gas grills that don't light without a lighter. I went out to use the grill and he was wrong. He thought that because it did not have a button for the ignition, I had to use a lighter. I'm surprised that he didn't burn his eyebrows off using the lighter.

I'm glad he didn't burn his eyebrows off. Ha Ha! We've had the self igniter go bad from time to time. Then we use matches but never a lighter. That just sounds dangerous.

I am glad to hear that he didn't burn his eye brows off either. That could have been a very dangerous situation.

Indeed because that could have perfectly happened and we could get seriously burned.

You can use a lighter to start a fire no problem ya just have to be careful.

True, a lighter is pretty effective to start a fire, it's just a matter to have one at hand.
