I love oysters but have ceased to be able to eat them raw. In my search for new ways to fix them I found this link to grilled oysters. It sounds simple except for the exploding part. Have any of you ever grilled oysters?
I dont like oysters but yours look great..makes you want to eat themHere's the Hawaii version of grilled oysters. We call this Opihi. It's a shelled creature that live on the rocky shores at the beach. You just scrape it off with a sharp tool or rock and it comes off easy.
We just place it on the grill like so, and pour your favorite sauce on the meat. The sauce will heat up and the meat will come off the shell on it's own. No work needed to cook. Just watch for the meat to pop off the shell and that's it.
I don't think anyone is going to pay that kind of money for a plane ticket to Hawaii, just for a barbecue. If you did, then tell me how to do it, because I need to be making that kind of money. Those look so good Josh. I'll bet I can't get them in the states and if I did they wouldn't be nearly as fresh. I really think you should have us all over for a cookout soon.
