    I thought it would be interesting if we came up with a popular and maybe not so popular terms for BBQ. Feel free to add your own.

    ABT - Atomic Buffalo Turd
    BGE – Big Green Egg.
    Bullet – Vertical water pan style smoker.
    Butt - Upper pork shoulder
    Chimney - charcoal lighter.
    CI - Cast Iron.
    Flower Pot – any kamado style ceramic cooker.
    Gator Pits – popular brand of offset smokers.
    HDAF - Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil.
    HF - Hot & Fast
    Kettle – Weber style charcoal grill.
    Klose – popular brand of offset smokers.
    Lump – whole / chunk charcoal with no fillers or binders.
    pellet Heads - Devotees of pellet style cookers.
    Pellet pooper - a cooker that is fueled by wood pellets.
    Primo – popular brand of ceramic grills/smokers.
    Stick Burner – offset smoker.
    Texas Crutch – aluminum foil.
    UDS – Ugly Drummer Smoker.
    Weed Burner - propane torch.
    WSM – Weber Smoky Mountain smoker.
    Yardbird – chicken or other domesticated fowl.

    I like it. I've gotten the reputation among our friends as the jerk purist that corrects everybody when they use the word barbecue when they mean grill. "I'm gonna barbecue these burgers on the barbecue so we can eat them at the barbecue." No ...

    This is an interesting list of words. I definitely learned a few new words in the barbeque world. Thanks for posting this. It really is awesome.

    Once, i m doing outdoor cooking during summer one of my friend, said me to do "HF" and i am unaware of that .Thank you for sharing. Sometime we just forget short form.

    Outdoor cooking during the summer is the best. Are you doing it professionally or just for yourself?

    Being a landscaper I imagine you make the setup for quite a few bbqs right?
